Mahisvi Vemulapalli

Mahisvi Vemulapalli is currently a junior at Hopewell Valley Central High School in New Jersey. In school, she is part of the robotics team and the high school marching band. She also participates in clubs such as FBLA, HOSA, CHATS, Model WHO, Science Olympiad, and a lead in her school Red Cross chapter. Outside of school, Mahisvi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, She bakes and likes playing tennis. She also plays the saxophone and enjoys reading mystery books.

Pranjal Mhetre

Pranjal is a junior at Hopewell Valley Central High School in NJ. She is pursuing the computer science STEM pathway and her STEM-based classes for this year include AP Computer Science A, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics, and AP Statistics. In school, Pranjal is the programming lead and the chief marketing officer of her school’s award-winning robotics team. She is also the fundraiser/treasurer for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), a club in which she has won awards at the regional and state level. Pranjal is the Vice President of Key Club (an international volunteering organization), treasurer of Cultural Connections Club, and a student leader at her school. Outside of school, Pranjal volunteers for Seeds to Sew, an international organization that provides women in Kenya with education opportunities. She has also worked as a Java and scratch tutor along with being an FLL and FTC mentor. Recently, Pranjal completed an IT internship at her county’s office and finished a data science summer program at the University of Michigan. Outside of school, Pranjal loves spending time with her friends and baking/cooking new recipes. She is also on the tennis team and does Indian classical singing.

Nina Kannan

Nina is currently a senior at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Austin, Texas. This year, she is studying multivariable calculus, advanced physics, and working on an independent project in STEM. In her sophomore year, Nina studied AP Computer Science and AP Computer Science Principles, and in her junior year she studied AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and electronics and robotics. Nina is a founder and co-president of her school’s Hack Club, a computer science and programming club that hosts workshops for various projects. Outside of school, she works at a math training center, where she coaches students in various fields of mathematics. She also has taught children basics in Scratch and Javascript programming, and introduced children to engineering and design concepts. Outside of STEM, Nina loves to read, and bake sweet treats for her friends and family. She also enjoys participating in her school's Haiti Club, where she helps raise funds and create opportunities for a school in Haiti.

Jerry Wang

Jerry Wang, a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School in New Jersey, he leads several clubs, including founding and being the President of the school's Research Club and Treasurer of the Medical Club (HOSA). Jerry actively participates in epidemiology, anatomy, and psychology science Olympiad and HOSA competitions, alongside taking challenging courses like AP Calculus AB, and AP Statistics. Outside of school, Jerry plays tennis and enjoys exploring his culinary skills. In addition, he volunteered at the Trenton Regional Medical Center's ER department, providing direct support to patients.

Ananya Anil

Ananya (Terra) Anil is a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School. She hopes to partake in a range of STEM courses in the future, and is currently taking AP courses such as AP Seminar and AP US History. Terra is also interested in astronomy and environmental science, and is currently in the process of establishing an astronomy club at her school. She has previously participated in the Careers in Conservation internship with the Outdoor Equity Alliance (OEA) and is currently taking their Agrihood internship this year. She enjoys volunteering at the Watershed as well. Outside of school, Terra can be found spending time with her family and friends, making art, playing piano, and singing with her choir group.

Maria Rizvi

Maria Rizvi is a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School in New Jersey. She has taken STEM classes in engineering and technology but intends to extend her knowledge in science. She is interested in the biological sciences and especially holds an interest in psychology, nutrition and zoology. Maria wants to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She is a president of the International Animal Welfare Club at her high school. She is in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and Learn to Be, where she is an English tutor. Outside of school, Maria likes to hang out with her cat and listen to music. She is a singer and has been doing vocal lessons for 4 years. She has also been in choir for 6 years. She also enjoys volunteering and learning languages.

Janya Samanthika Arunkumar

Janya Samanthika Arunkumar is currently a junior in high school. Her STEM classes in school this year are AP Chemistry and AP Physics, and she has taken AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics as a sophomore. Her favorite area in STEM is science, specifically, biology. Janya is the vice president of the HOSA club and has won 6th place regionally as a sophomore. She is also the founder and president of the Operation Smile club at her school. She has taught Human Anatomy and Physiology to young children. She is also on track to be part of the EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). Other than STEM activities, Janya loves to read, sing, play the piano, and dance. She has been part of the choir since 4th grade and has been in advanced ensembles.

Marina is a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School in New Jersey. She has taken STEM courses focusing on engineering and intends to broaden her knowledge within biology as well. Marina is the co-president of the Historical Humanities Club and the vice president of the Scientific Activism and Research Club. She is also the secretary of HOSA and a member of other clubs, such as Science Olympiad, Robotics, and FBLA. Outside of school, Marina enjoys singing and volleyball. She also plays the sanshin and volunteers frequently in local areas.

Tanisha Angoth

Tanisha Angoth is currently a junior at duPont Manual High School in Kentucky. Her current STEM-based classes in school this year are AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, and AP Calculus AB. She has taken AP Computer Science Principles in her sophomore year. She has also taken Project Lead the Way’s Principles of Biomedical Science course, Human Body Systems course, and Medical Interventions course. The most interesting STEM topic to her is biology. Tanisha is a member of her school’s HOSA club, TedX club, and Science National Honor Society chapter. In her freshman year, she was the co-leader of Girls Who Code at her previous school. She is on her way to becoming an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB-GYN). Outside of school, Tanisha loves to dance and has been doing so for the past 9 years. She enjoys writing, dancing, recording videos for her YouTube channel, and hanging out with friends.

Nandita Ramesh

Nandita is a senior at Hopkinton High School in MA. She has previously taken STEM courses in AP Calculus, AP Computer Science, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry. She is currently enrolled in AP Psychology and AP Physics. Nandita serves as Co-President of the Hopkinton HOSA chapter and the Neuroscience Club at her school. Throughout her involvement in HOSA, she has received numerous awards, and for the past three years, she has competed at the International Leadership Conference. Nandita is a part of the National Honor Society as well. Nandita likes to read, spend time with her family and friends, and bake when she's not in school. She has been playing the piano for the past ten years and is currently completing ABRSM Grade 8, the final level of the program.

Prisha Shrivastava

Prisha Shrivastava is a senior in Hopkinton High School in MA. Her past STEM classes in school include AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, and Honors Anatomy and Physiology. This year, she is taking AP Calculus BC and AP Physics 1. In school, Prisha is the vice president of the Neuroscience Club, the treasurer of her school’s NHS (National Honor Society) chapter, and the treasurer of her school’s HOSA (Future Health Professionals) chapter. She has competed as a state finalist in the Massachusetts Brain Bee and has won awards for HOSA. She also tutors students in math. With a strong interest in science, she’s completed a lab-based biotechnology program at Biogen and a Biomedical and Surgical Research program at the Boston Leadership Institute. In her free time, Prisha loves to write sci-fi novels, play soccer, create artwork, listen to Disney songs, and go on runs.

Grishmaa Chaudhary

Grishmaa is a sophomore at East Brunswick High School in NJ. She has taken Biology Honors and Geometry w Trignometry Honors in previous school years. She has also taken STEM I/II and Intro to Computer Science classes. This year she will be taking Chemistry Honors and Algebra II Honors. She plans on further pursuing her interest in medicine. Outside of school, Grishmaa is a web developer for a non-profit that aims to raise money for the education of less privileged kids. Grishmaa is also a professional dancer and she has been dancing for 11 years. She enjoys rollerskating and has won various awards in competitions. In her free time, Grishmaa enjoys staying outside and playing sports such as tennis and badminton. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Gargi Patel

Gargi is a sophomore at East Brunswick High School in New Jersey. She has previously taken honors classes in both math and science such as Biology Honors, Geometry with Trigonometry Honors, and Algebra I Honors, as well as classes in STEM and woodworking. This year, she is taking Chemistry Honors and Algebra II Honors. She finds great interest in topics relating to astronomy, biology, and chemistry. Additionally, Gargi has been a member of Girls Who Code for the past two years. She also enjoys playing soccer and has been playing for the past five years. She can be found reading, baking, and spending time with friends and family in her free time.

Aileen Zhang is a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School. She's passionate about the issues of healthcare accessibility issues, participating in the FoHVOS internship about food insecurity and redlining as well as being the president of the SupportHer club. This summer, she participated in the Capital Health volunteer program for a hands-on hospital experience. In her spare time, she loves reading, drawing, watching movies, and eating cookies in no particular order. She has played tennis for 6 years and is third singles.

Neha Taneja

Neha Taneja is currently a senior at Hopewell Valley Central High School. STEM-based classes she has taken include AP Chemistry and AP Statistics. This year she is also taking AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Psychology, and AP Calculus BC. At her school, Neha is a leader for Model UN and an editor for Panorama. She is also involved in FBLA. She is passionate about medicine and is currently taking part in a research opportunity with Stanford University. Outside of school, Neha loves to hang out with friends and family, read, sing, and watch shows/movies.

Nancy Wang

Nancy is a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School in NJ. She excels in mathematics, currently taking rigorous courses such as AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics. She is also passionate about art, being in both the art and crochet club. Last year, she scripted and illustrated multiple panels of a safety animation for her school's robotics team, as well as designing the team's t-shirt. Additionally, Nancy is a member of HOSA, participating in a fundraising event last year. She volunteers at Mercer County Library, preparing crafts for young kids.

Julia Yu

Julia Yu is a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School, Pennington New Jersey. She actively participates in the Robotics club, playing a substantial role in Spike 293’s involvement of the FIRST Robotics Competitions. She also holds the position of Secretary in her school’s Research Club, and is one of two acting Presidents of the Historical Humanities Club. Beyond the classroom, Julia volunteers at the Trenton Regional Medical Center OR department, assisting staff with organizing material and keeping track of what is safe for patient usage. She hopes to continue her studies in the medical field, and she aspires to become a healthcare professional. Extracurriculars include involvement in her school’s tennis team, and her love for the violin and flute. In addition and as an enjoyer of the arts, Julia can frequently be seen creating sketches, paintings, knits, and the like.

Emily Suh is a sophomore at Hopewell Valley Central High School in NJ. She is currently taking AP Seminar and AP US History, as well as other rigorous courses. At school, she partakes in clubs including FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), and Science Olympiads. Plus, she is involved in her school's sports teams, having been on the volleyball team and currently on the tennis team. Outside of school, she is involved in a variety of activities. She takes weekly dance classes and was previously on her studio's dance competition team. In her free time, she loves playing tennis, volleyball, piano, and skateboarding. She has a passion for science, especially anything astronomy related. She enjoys helping the community, volunteering at the Mercer County Library and at TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen).

Khushvir Brar

Khushvir is a senior in high school. She engages in a number of clubs, such as SWIS (Strong Women in Science), social justice, and debate. Her favourite subjects include biology and chemistry. Since her first year of high school, Khushvir has competed in the HOSA (Future Health Professionals) competition, in which she took first place provinically in Clinical Nursing. She participated in the international conference in 2021 as well. She volunteers in a number of peer tutoring initiatives and also provides private tutoring to young children. Outside of school, Khushvir enjoys reading, swimming, hiking, and spending time with her loved ones.

Ayan Pandoh

Ayan Pandoh is a junior at East Brunswick High School in NJ. This year, his stem classes include Pre-Calculus Honors, Physics Accelerated, and other rigorous AP courses. He has previously taken AP Computer Science A, Chemistry Honors, and various STEM classes such as Electrical Engineering and STEM II. He is inducted into the Science Honors Society and the Mu Alpha Theta (Math) Honors Society. Ayan is interested in computer science and plans on pursuing this subject beyond high school. Outside of school, he enjoys watching sports such as football and soccer and working on projects as an iOS and web developer. What he enjoys the most is spending time with his family and friends. His main goal is to make an impact on his community and many others.

Richard Thomas

Richard is a senior at Fairfax High School in Virginia. His STEM classes this year are Multivariable Calculus/Linear Algebra, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics C: E&M, and CS Capstone AV. Other STEM classes he has taken are AP Calculus, AP Statistics, Advanced Computer Science AB (Data Structures), AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and STEM Design. His favorite area in STEM is technology especially in the computer science field. Richard is an inducted member of the Computer Science Honor Society club and a software/engineer lead on the school robotics team. The robotics team plans events and camps for younger students to be exposed to robotics and coding. Other than STEM activities, Richard loves to play soccer and volleyball. He has been playing soccer since he was 7. He also loves to help out his community.
